Strands hints and answers for Thursday, November 5, 2026
Today's Strands board hides its six theme words inside one shared phrase: every theme word completes a familiar expression when the same short verb goes in front of it, and that verb is also the last word of the spangram, a twelve-letter plea stretched across the whole board from one side to the other, running edge to edge across the grid.

Ignore the fragility in the clue for a moment: the real key is a phrase pattern. Every theme word follows the same short verb to make an everyday expression - sharing food, dropping a role, starting a project, passing wind.
The six words are BREAD, CHARACTER, DANCING, FAITH, GROUND and WIND. Put BREAK in front of each one: break bread, break character, breakdancing, break faith, break ground, break wind.
The spangram is twelve letters and reads as three everyday words joined together: what you say when you ask someone to cut you some slack.

The spangram first, then all six theme words.
