How it works
The tool compares your letters against every word in the list, letter by letter. A word only counts if it can be built from the letters you typed: a letter can repeat only as often as it appears in your letters, so one S cannot do the work of two. Words in the top section use every letter you entered. Shorter words use some of your letters and leave the rest unused. Scores are the standard Scrabble letter values added up, with no board bonuses.
About this word list
The list is built from SCOWL, the spell-checker word lists - the same source as our other word tools - and runs to 114,435 words of two letters or more. It is broad, not official: it includes some rare and old-fashioned words that a game may not accept, and a game with a hand-edited list may accept a word this list misses.
