Connections Helper

Archive: 13 puzzles covered, October 15 to 27, 2026 - 52 groups - 256 words and phrases indexed

Stuck on one word that will not sit still? Type it here and see every group it has joined in the Connections puzzles in our archive. Past boards will not spoil today's, but they do show the tricks the puzzle keeps coming back to.

Look up a word

Type one word from a board you are playing, or a full board entry like HOT POTATO. Results update as you type. The four words in each past group are shown openly; the category name, the actual answer, stays hidden until you tap Show.

    How to use this

Start with the word that fits nowhere. One stubborn word usually belongs to the group built on a trick, so its past appearances tell you what kind of trick to look for today.

Watch for wordplay groups. The puzzle reuses a small kit of tricks: homophones, words with a letter changed, and names that are wrong twice over. If your word has turned up in a wordplay group before, test a wordplay reading of it first.

Test the fill-in-the-blank groups. Some categories are a frame, like ___ BELL or BELL ___, where every word pairs with the same partner word. This helper indexes those partner words too, so looking up BELL finds both frames it completed on October 27, 2026.

Try words that precede or follow a common word. If a board word can sit in front of, or behind, several everyday words, say the pairs out loud. That habit builds more purple groups than any other, and the archive shows it again and again.

    About the data

Every result comes from our own verified archive: the same Connections puzzle data this site's daily pages are built from, covering 13 puzzles from October 15 to 27, 2026, with 52 groups and 256 words and phrases indexed. Multi-word board entries are indexed whole and word by word, and the partner word in a fill-in-the-blank category is indexed too. The limits are plain: the archive only holds the puzzles Clue Cache has published, so a word the NYT used before October 15, 2026 will read as not found, and a first-time word is not a wrong word, it is just new.
